Eric Alfred Lyons (1912-1980) architect and town planner. Lyons began working for Walter Gropius and Maxwell Fry, before setting up his own practice and developing the Span style of housing with Geoffrey Townsend: private houses conceived as part of the landscaping and designed on the basis of a variety of standardised modules. One of the finest examples of his work is Templemere in Weybridge. He lived and worked at Mill House, Bridge Road, East Molesey.
