John Chute (1701-1776) architect, connoisseur of the arts and literature. A close friend of Horace Walpole and member of the 'Committee of Taste' that enlarged and decorated Strawberry Hill. Chute redesigned Boyle Farm for Charlotte Boyle-Walsingham.
