Peter King, seventh Baron King (1775-1833), politician and political writer. The great-grandson of Peter King, 1st Baron King, he wrote a classic economic tract 'Thoughts on the Effects of the Bank Restrictions' (1804) about the perils of the excessive issue of notes. He also wrote 'Life of John Locke' (1829), and an opposition to the Corn Laws (and corruption) called 'Short History of the Job of Jobs' (1825).
