Sir Thomas Mackenzie (1854-1930) Scottish-born New Zealand politician and notable explorer, who briefly became Prime Minister of New Zealand in 1912, before becoming the New Zealand High Commissioner in London. During the First World War Mackenzie established a hospital at Mount Felix, after the Gallipoli campaign of 1915-1916 lead to many New Zealand casualties.
