William Talman (bap. 1650, d. 1719) architect and collector. He redesigned Portmore Park for David Colyear. Talman also acquired an estate at Thames Ditton in Surrey in about 1696, over the Thames from Hampton Court Palace, where he began to build himself an elaborate house and garden, but work was incomplete when he lost his position at court and he sold the property to George London, who completed a much smaller house for himself, probably to Talman's designs.
